Practical answers
A few things you might be wondering.
Ordering is coming soon. Here’s what we can share now, and what you’ll know before you buy.
Can I preorder for 2027 yet?
Ordering is coming soon. Join the farm list for announcements about Farm Table Credit, Chicken CSA allocations and whole or half animal orders. Prices, pickup details and terms will be available before you pay.
How will the final price be calculated?
Chicken pricing includes processing. A fixed-price preorder will state exactly what is included and the full amount before payment. Pork, lamb and beef shares are priced per pound of hanging weight, with processing charged separately. Each offer will show an estimated total. The deposit counts toward the final bill; final weight determines the remaining balance. Weight adjustments and cancellation terms will be explained before ordering opens.
Where and when will pickup happen?
The farm is in Montville, Maine. First chicken pickups are expected in the second half of July 2027, about eight weeks after our usual start in late May. Weekly or monthly arrangements are being planned. Share your preference in your season plan; dates, locations and the final schedule will be confirmed before enrollment.
Other product pickup windows are still being planned. Farm visits and payment drop-offs are arranged by contacting us; no online booking is needed.
What if production changes?
Each offer will explain what happens if production or pickup plans change, including cancellation and refund terms. Those details will be available before ordering opens.
Is joining the farm list a reservation?
No. Joining the farm list lets you share your interests and request updates. It does not reserve food, require payment or place an order.
How is Farm Table Credit different from the Chicken CSA?
Farm Table Credit gives $1,100 in seasonal credit for a $1,000 payment, with unused credit rolling over. It is for eligible available cuts and farmstand goods, without reserving products or quantities.
The Chicken CSA is $900 upfront for 100 lbs of processed whole chickens and is purchased separately, without an additional credit discount. We pack whole birds as close to 100 lbs as practical; the total may be a little above or below, with the price unchanged for normal whole-bird rounding. Pickup and enrollment details will be confirmed before payment. Sending a season plan helps us understand demand; it does not create a credit balance or reserve chicken.
What about pork, lamb and beef?
Whole and half pork, lamb and beef shares have separate deposits and hanging-weight prices, with processing charged separately. A deposit counts toward the final bill. Hanging weight is measured before cutting and packaging, so it is higher than the weight of your take-home cuts.
Beef is $8/lb hanging weight, plus processing. Pork and lamb rates will be confirmed before ordering opens.
Each offer will explain estimated total cost, expected take-home weight, processing fees, pickup and cancellation terms before ordering opens. These shares are purchased separately from Farm Table Credit. You can share your preferences now through the season-planning form.
